Setting Sons is a 1979 album by British band The Jam, their fourth since their debut in 1977. It reached No. 4 in the UK Albums Chart, continuing the commercial (and critical) favour that had begun with their previous album All Mod Cons. The sole single from Setting Sons, “The Eton Rifles”, became the group’s first top 10 UK hit, peaking at No. 3.
From the Jam, featuring original Jam member Bruce Foxton, along with Russell Hastings will perform selections from this classic album plus a selection of hand-picked songs from the back catalogue of The Jam on this one off, never to be repeated concert.
Bruce and the band are back for what is becoming their annual “Christmas Cavern” shows. The band always say how much they enjoy their gigs at the Cavern and the welcome they receive from Liverpool, so we are delighted they are doing another two night stint this year!
From The Jam will also perform their “Greatest Hits” show in The Cavern Live Lounge on 5th December 2019.
