The story so far…
Cavern City Tours was incorporated in 1983 with aim of creating Beatles tour packages for fans around the world.
1985 expanded tours into the sporting world.
1984 saw the start of an 11 day festival celebrating the music of the Beatles which incorporated London and Liverpool.
1990 official ticket agents for the sale of Paul McCartney concerts.
1991 started daily Beatles tours around the city of Liverpool.
1991 acquired the Cavern Club, Mathew Street.
1993 the first Mathew Street Festival was held attracting over 20,000 people into Mathew Street for 7 hours of free music from 65 bands from around the world.
1994 saw opening of the Cavern Pub and creation of Cavern Records.
1994 voted Merseyside Tour Operator of the Year.
1994 company Directors Bill Heckle and Dave Jones were presented with the Whitbread/Liverpool Echo Special Award for their services to Liverpool’s Tourism Industry. The winner of this award the previous year was Sir Paul McCartney.
2007 50th anniversary of the Cavern triple CD being released by EMI and a commemorative book published.
2008 opening of Hard Days Night Hotel developed from a concept and design created by Cavern City Tours Directors Bill Heckle and Dave Jones.
